Zondag den 21 November was dan gekomen, waarop wij des morgens om 8 uur na een hartbrekend en treurig afscheid van onze grijze ruim 68-jarige ouders, vrienden en bekenden Groningen de stad onzer geboorte, onze jeugd en mijne vorming tot Evangeliedienaar van de Oost-Indische Kerk, verlieten en naar Leeuwarden vertrokken, alwaar wij des avonds om 10 uren aankwamen. Bij onze aankomst werden wij genoeglijk verrast door de tegenwoordigheid mijner dierbare en beminde jongste zuster, die aldaar gekomen was om ons naar Bolsward te brengen naar mijnen zwager Docter Ypma, die zeer ziek en ongesteld was.

Nieuw! Nu te downloaden het verhaal over het korte leven van Cornelius Auwerda. Geboren in de stad Groningen in 1798, overleden op het eiland Ambon in 1828. Geschreven door achterachterkleinzoon Cornelis Petrus Auwerda met hulp van vele familieleden en anderen. Klik om te downloaden

Auwerda City is renewed!
After being on the internet since 1999 with the same layout, we have now completely restyled Auwerda City. You can still find the kind of info that you've got used to, but we have a lot of new interesting extra features now.

Like in a real city you can now be part of the Auwerda City community by registering at our website. After registration some "doors" at Auwerda City will be opened for you offering you extended access to the website.
